Bettors in Bangladesh encounter three types of odds formats — each is explained below in plain language.
Decimal Odds (Most Common)
Total return = stake × odds. This format is the most widely used in Bangladesh and is easy to understand. The higher the odds figure, the greater the risk and the greater the potential reward.
A ৳1,000 bet returns ৳2,250 (৳1,250 profit + original ৳1,000). If you lose, ৳1,000 is gone.
Fractional Odds
In this British format, "5/4" means ৳5 profit for every ৳4 wagered. Less common in Bangladesh, but some bookmakers use it.
If Team A wins, a ৳1,000 bet returns ৳1,250 profit — ৳2,250 in total.
American Odds
Plus (+) shows profit on a ৳100 bet; minus (−) shows how much you must bet to make ৳100 profit. In both cases you get your original stake back.
